A Day in the Life
Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day Protein production operations. Support the Plant Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity.
What You'll Be Doing
Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated and employees and management have a common goal of zero injuries
Oversee assigned protein facility production activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency
Manage monthly sanitation inspections and lead, monitor and ensure corrective actions are completed as necessary
Track and report facility productivity improvements
Approve daily reports and KPRs for department
Support and develop Protein Supervisors in operations issues and trouble shooting
Assist the Plant Manager in planning annual shutdowns
Oversee the Process Safety Management programs, where applicable
Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance in all aspects
Responsible for developing and driving Operations Excellence Plans to help meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement throughout the facility
Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the facility
Monitor KPR’s throughout the facility and help develop plans to bring teams in line with Operations Excellence goals
Participate in daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the activities of all production operations management are aligned
Monitor and manage product yields
Participate in new employee selection process
Assist Supervisors with personnel issues by participating in investigations and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned
Skill/Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering, or related field or equivalent progressive experience of 7+ years in soybean crushing, oil refining, milling, protein, oil packaging operations, or related and applicable activities in support of industrial operations is required
Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other technical software packages, as needed
Work Schedule: Standard (On-call 24/7 as needed)

The compensation range for this position is $113,730-$127,980. In addition to regular compensation, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
