Compensation
Base Pay : The district’s new hire salary ranges for teachers are combined with state‑funded Prop 301 money ($8,500). The contracted salary is based on years of experience and education level.
Salary ranges:
Up to 4 years of teaching experience: $45,575 – $55,475.
4 or more years of experience: $47,575 – $57,475.
Performance Pay : Up to $4,500 in Prop 301 performance pay.
One‑Time Critical Needs Stipends
(pending certification):
Math, science, and kindergarten positions: $2,000.
Special education positions: $5,000.
Annual Stipends
(pending certification):
Special Education: up to $4,000 case‑management stipend FY 2026‑27.
Special Education ED‑P classrooms: $10,000 stipend FY 2026‑27.
Benefits

4‑day work weeks, 148‑day contract, 13 weeks off.
Health insurance options with much of the premium paid by the District.
Retirement pension through Arizona State Retirement System, 100% matched by the District.
To Qualify
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Arizona Department of Public Safety identity‑verified fingerprint clearance card (IVP), or ability to obtain prior to start date.
Arizona Department of Education teaching certificate: Secondary Certificate, Grades 6‑12, approved area of History or Social Studies, or a Secondary Certificate approved area of English with an approved area of English, and optional SEI, ESL or bilingual endorsement issued within one year of hire.
Alternative pathway: enroll in an Arizona Department of Education approved teacher preparation program and obtain an alternative teaching certificate.
