Qualifications
Hold, or be eligible to hold, a Utah Secondary License with visual arts endorsement.
OR
Hold, or be eligible to hold, a Utah Secondary/CTE License with Commercial Arts endorsements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, develop students’ skills, competence, creativity, and understanding through studio art, art history, and, in the case of commercial art, industry-specific design techniques; teach skill and knowledge in art courses to students grades 7-12; promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning; design learning activities to demonstrate the application of technical skills to everyday existence; guide students in the selection of projects or experiments; instruct students in the proper and safe use, care and storage of tools, machines and equipment; other duties as assigned.
Salary
Placed on Licensed Salary Schedule. Placement is determined by education level and years of experience. Experience credit will be awarded for the first ten (10) years of certified experience in an accredited school.
