Duties and Responsibilities
Provide access control functions to ensure entry control points are monitored
Verify clearances via the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Scattered Castles, or other authorized means
Conduct validation of Information System Authorization Access Requests
Issue visiting and temporary badges to visitors and employees
Conduct magnetometer and other searches of employees and visitors
Utilize the Foreign Visits System – Confirmation Module (FVS-CM) to input all foreign visitors
Submit and receive visitor and employee visit/perm certifications
Screen incoming and outgoing documents and/or packages to ensure that they are properly wrapped and couriered in accordance with MCIA policy
Conduct detailed turnovers with command duty officers
Conduct and complete end-of-day checklists and properly open/close MCIA facilities
Monitor facility control points via line of sight and CCTV system
Knowledge and Qualifications
Experience with the following software/applications: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
Experience in basic access control functions
Knowledge and experience using CDX-09 and CDX-10 style locks
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
Knowledge and experience providing quality customer service to Government employees, military personnel, contractors, and/or visitors.
