Overview
The Business Development Coordinator plays a vital support role within Brinkmann's Business Development team, working in close collaboration with the BD Services, Preconstruction, and Operations teams. This position is focused on producing high-quality qualifications packages, proposals, and presentations that reflect Brinkmann's brand and competitive strengths. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, coachable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Individual contributor with a strong focus on tactical execution and deliverable quality
Detail-oriented and brand-conscious in all external-facing materials
Proactively seeks feedback and is receptive to coaching and direction
Upholds operational objectives, brand standards, and departmental KPIs
Identifies and escalates issues within job responsibilities and assists in their resolution
Continuously seeks opportunities for self-development and professional growth
The Business Development Coordinator is accountable for:
Supporting the BD team in assembling proposals and pursuit materials tailored to specific client needs and target markets
Preparing and coordinating qualifications and proposal responses with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all submissions meet deadlines
Developing, editing, and refining PowerPoint presentations that align with Brinkmann’s brand standards and client-facing messaging
Providing administrative support within Cosential CRM, including data entry, information gathering, and maintaining accurate records
Managing and organizing project photos, personnel resumes, and related content assets
Contributing creative input to enhance the quality and visual impact of external-facing materials
Maintaining and upholding the integrity of Brinkmann’s corporate brand across all deliverables
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant AEC experience in lieu of degree will be considered
2–5 years of experience in business development, marketing, or proposal coordination; construction industry experience a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SharePoint and InDesign
Experience with CRM platforms; familiarity with Cosential/Unanet is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proofing and AP Style Standards knowledge preferred
Creative eye for design and layout, particularly in PowerPoint and proposal formatting
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Coachable, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative environment
Working Conditions
Work is typically performed indoors out of a main office or field office at the construction site; may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Light physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 20 pounds. Position may require travel. Position requires frequent, high-level autonomy as it relates to decision-making that impacts company results
