Job Description: High School Secretary & Financial Coordinator

10-Month Beginning July 27th
Pay Scale:
16-19/hr based on experience
Position Summary
The High School Secretary serves as the primary face of Hutsonville High School, providing administrative support to staff, students, and parents. This specific role carries heavy emphasis on financial record‑keeping, requiring a detail‑oriented professional to manage school accounts, activity funds, and office operations using digital tools.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Management: Maintain accurate records of the school's internal accounts, including sports fees, club funds, and daily deposits.
Bookkeeping: Utilize QuickBooks to track expenditures, process invoices, and reconcile monthly bank statements.
Office Administration: Manage the main office flow, answer phones, greet visitors, and maintain student attendance records.
Digital Organization: Expertly use Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar) to streamline school communications and documentation.
Student Support: Assist with student registrations, transcripts, and minor medical/first‑aid needs as required by the office.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required; Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in a finance‑heavy administrative role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online).
Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets formulas are a plus).
Soft Skills: High level of confidentiality, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask in a high‑energy environment.
