Baltz Elementary School is currently seeking a School Counselor.
Job Responsibilities
Teach Guidance to grades 3-5 in daily Unified Arts Rotation
Assist all students in the areas of academic achievement and social/emotional development.
Provide pull‑out support to Tier II / III students in the area of social/emotional growth.
Serve as the 504 Coordinator.
Assist and teach students how to manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills.
Provide short‑term counseling and small group counseling to students.
Refer students for long‑term support when appropriate.
Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and community for student success.
Conduct data analysis to identify student issues, needs and challenges within the school.
Participate in school and district committees and initiatives to provide system support.
Assist with crisis management.
Develop and follow an effective school counseling program and annual plan, consistent with the school, district and ASCA mission and vision.
Attend district counselor meetings.
Uphold ASCA ethical and professional standards.
Be a team player, an excellent communicator, and have a willingness to work strategically with parents of all students.
Fulfill continuing education requirements.
Other responsibilities as determined by the school Principal.
Minimum Qualifications
School counselor for grades K-5
Current DE teaching license
