What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and/or surrounding perimeter locations, with working conditions that may vary by assignment.
Monitor access points, screen for unauthorized activity, and help to deter misconduct, trespassing, and/or policy violations through a visible presence and routine inspection activities.
Support transportation operations by reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or maintenance concerns, while following post orders and applicable use‑of‑force guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess 3 or more years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Baton certification is preferred.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
