Job Description
Third Future Schools is a high‑achieving and growing network of charter schools. The network’s Linwood school in Shreveport, Louisiana is looking for a Third Grade Science of Reading Teacher. Linwood teachers help students improve academic proficiency and build habits of success. They create a safe and orderly learning environment for students who are assigned to their class and for all students in the school. They are supervised by the principal and assistant principal.
Classroom teachers receive extensive support: lesson plans, demonstrations of learning, and student assignments and activities are provided by expert curriculum developers. Teacher assistants make copies and grade papers for the teachers. Teachers have minimal duties beyond four days a month. The maximum salary for a teacher with three years of demonstrated achievement is $85,000.
