Kankakee Country Club, located in Kankakee, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time, Lifeguard! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$15 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety

Administers first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers

Maintains amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers

Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by department manager

Enforces the rules of conduct

Performs pool maintenance to include checking chemicals and pool vacuuming

Checks the first aid supplies and reports needed items to management in a timely fashion

Organizes and monitors pool games at all times and suggests pool-side games

Skims bugs and other debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use and empties the automatic skimmer

Cleans up and organizes the pool area at the end of the day

Maintains all necessary records determined by the department manager

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience

CPR, First Aid Certification, and various Water Safety/Instructor Certifications required

Other Qualifications

Regular and reliable attendance

Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes
