Senior Manager, Project/Portfolio Management

With minimal direction, provide management for the Portfolio Solutions project management team, setting the direction for operations and change-the-business initiatives; manage changing business needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies. Provide strategic direction and management in the areas associated with maintaining a complex portfolio.Manage stakeholder relationships with senior-level management across various functionsCollaborate with cross-functional business units around project planning, resourcing, and deliveryCollaborate with IT technical teams and/or external consultants to ensure successful delivery of projectsProvide leadership in the constructing of project teams, charters, project plans, contingencies, success metrics, and ROI measurementsGuide project managers and analysts to ensure that project quality and project management standards are followed and continually improvedRegularly interact with sponsors, stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure meeting or exceeding project deliverablesEstablish and monitor value metrics to inform decisions that maximize returns across enterprise projects and programs. Drive business value across all program activitiesPlan, implement, and continuously improve project management best practices and tool sets to streamline project processes and procedures and maximize operational effectiveness**Job Specifications***Typically has the following skills or abilities:*Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 1 additional year of experience related to functional areaMinimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reportsProject-related experience working on multiple concurrent simple to highly complex projects (project manager, business analyst, etc)Experience with various project management methodologies, standard concepts, practices, procedures, tools, and/or software packagesDemonstrates ability to be a decision-maker, showing balanced consideration of business issuesAbility to influence teams in various divisions toward common goalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills**Preferred Skills**Demonstrated organizational change management experience#LI-VISIONCARECompensation range for the role is listed below.
