Job Description
Number of openings: 1.
Salary: Pep Squad (Sideline) Coach – $4,766.22 stipend; Cheer (Stunt) Coach – $3,971.85 stipend.
Location: Paloma Valley High School.
Qualifications
Valid first aid card and valid CPR card.
Minimum 2 years coaching as a cheer coach or 5 years coaching cheerleading at the high school level or above; experience as a professional athlete or national team member is advantageous.
Comprehensive up‑to‑date knowledge of the sport, strategies, and technical skills.
Ability to teach, enforce, advocate, and model appropriate behavior and character traits.
Success in an interview assessing coaching skills and philosophy.
Completion of all district‑required training: NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, NFHS Concussion Protocol, NFHS Heat Illness Prevention, etc.
Additional Requirements
Final candidate will be required to obtain the following certifications and complete district‑required safety training: CPR/First Aid Certification, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, NFHS Concussions in Sports, NFHS Heat Illness Prevention, and all Perris Union High School District Human Resources required documents.
