Instant Service Agent (Temporary) - InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown

The InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is seeking an Instant Service Agent to provide professional telephone support to both in‑house and external guests.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls from guests and departments in a timely manner following established scripts and standards.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Respond to in‑house guest concerns or complaints and apply appropriate service recovery gestures.
Provide wake‑up calls, local directions and general information to callers.
Serve as a central communications point during emergency/crisis situations and follow all emergency, safety and security procedures.
Operate the in‑house paging system and facilitate communication with security and maintenance.
Record incoming packages, mail, or faxes and notify guests promptly.
Qualifications
Basic reading, writing, and computer skills with at least 6 months of customer service or phone/switchboard experience. Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
Other requirements:
Effective communication skills when interacting with guests and callers.
Ability to type or route messages while sitting down.
Availability to work nights/overnight, weekends, and/or holidays.

Hourly pay range: $26.07 to $32.59, applicable in Los Angeles, California.
