Here is what it's like to be a Fleet Mechanic with PBNA:
You'll have the opportunity to work independently while performing preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs, utilizing leading-edge technology such as voice applications, Noregon diagnostics, Uptake predictive analytics, TAAS, and more.
Independently perform PMs and repairs across diverse fleet equipment including automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), vans, and forklifts.
Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary.
Maintain accurate documentation and vehicle software systems such as work orders, vehicle records, part reconciliation, and pre-trip checklists.
Adhere to all safety standards and procedures, supporting Pepsi's strong safety culture.
Contribute to maintaining one of the largest fleets in North America.
While we provide extensive training and continuous education, we have the following minimum requirements:
Own basic hand tools (diagnostic, ergonomic, and high‑tech equipment will be provided).
Physical capability to lift, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform routine movements such as lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, and climbing.
At least 18 years of age.
Must be able to pass a forklift driving skills test if applicable.
Helpful experience
Experience removing and replacing mounted wheels to torque specifications.
Experience working under limited supervision (e.g., performing work independently or remotely from a direct supervisor).
Experience using shop tools such as engine hoists, welding, tire changes, and small hand tools.
Experience with preventative maintenance programs and activities (following schedules for oil changes, documenting work completed, tracking miles and usage hours, identifying and repairing defects).
Experience working with computers, including i‑pad, desktop, handheld, or laptop systems for diagnostics.
Experience or training involving hydraulic and air brake systems.
