The Humanities Teacher will teach high school Humanities at our Chelsea campus. The Humanities Teacher will be responsible for planning lessons and curricula, administering assessments, collecting and analyzing data, and relentlessly supporting students to achieve academic excellence. Phoenix teachers do more than simply teach academic lessons; they serve integral roles as advisers and mentors for our scholars. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Your Contribution
In addition to demonstrating the qualities of a Phoenix staff member, the Humanities Teacher will be responsible for the following:
Curriculum and Instructional Responsibilities
Design and deliver rigorous instructional content including lessons, curriculum supplements, weekly overviews, scope and sequence plans, and performance assessments in alignment with curricular framework.
Support the social‑emotional learning connected to college and career readiness, including 1:1 support as needed.
Participate in weekly professional development on Fridays from 1:30–4:30 PM.
Participate in supervision, weekly coaching cycles, and formal mid‑year and end‑of‑year evaluations in alignment with goals and deliverables set by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Collaborate frequently with English as a Second Language and other Academic Support staff to ensure appropriate supports are in place for all students.
Collect and analyze student academic data and use it to inform instruction and meet student needs.

At least 1 year of direct scholar‑serving (teaching, tutoring, academic support, etc.) experience preferred.
Bilingual/Spanish‑speaking candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
