Collier Mosquito Control District is hiring! We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Aircraft Parts Manager to join our aviation team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented aviation professional to support critical aircraft maintenance operations that directly protect public health.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing aircraft parts inventory, procurement, tracking, and compliance with FAA regulations, ensuring all components are available, documented, and airworthy. Your work will support aerial mosquito control operations and contribute to innovative, environmentally responsible strategies that serve our community.

Description
The Aircraft Parts Manager plays a critical role in supporting the District’s aviation operations by ensuring the accurate procurement, inventory control, and documentation of all aircraft parts and materials. This position is responsible for maintaining compliance with FAA regulations, tracking parts lifecycle and traceability, coordinating with maintenance personnel, and ensuring timely availability of components to keep aircraft mission-ready. This role requires strong organizational skills, aviation parts experience, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

The Person We Are Looking For Will Have

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory and recordkeeping

Experience managing aircraft parts, inventory systems, and procurement processes

Knowledge of FAA regulations related to parts traceability and documentation

Ability to coordinate effectively with maintenance technicians, vendors, and supervisors

Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Reliability, accountability, and regular on-site attendance

What We Would Like You to Have

High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s degree preferred)

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in aircraft parts management, aviation logistics, or a related field

Familiarity with FAA regulations, airworthiness documentation, and parts certification (8130-3, traceability, etc.)

Experience with inventory management systems and computerized tracking programs

Veryon inventory tracking (preferred)

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and parts catalogs

Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record

Ability to lift and handle aircraft parts and supplies

Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities

Experience with pesticide application systems, fabrication, welding, painting, or custom tooling is a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position involves heavy physical work and may require lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently. The role includes climbing, kneeling, crouching, standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, and working with tools and equipment. Visual, hearing, and mental acuity are essential for safe aircraft operation and maintenance.

Work is performed primarily in a hangar environment and outdoor industrial settings, with exposure to hot or cold weather. Participation in maintenance and test flights may be required. Work schedules may include nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency response situations.

This full-time, non-exempt, hourly position offers a competitive wage commensurate with experience and includes performance reviews at 90 days, and annually thereafter.
