Sourcing Specialist, Diagnostics Direct Procurement
based out of
Oro Valley/Marana, AZ.
Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)
This is an onsite position - Primary Location: Tucson, AZ (split time between Marana site and Oro Valley site); Mandatory to be on-site at least 3 days per week (Tuesday and Thursdays at Oro Valley Campus, Wednesday at Marana campus).

Responsible for executing Direct Procurement Operations activities, ensuring alignment with Category Management strategies. Focuses on supplier management, escalations, master data management, cost savings, and continuous improvement.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of procurement experience with experience in basic contracting, business enterprise systems, and spot buying
Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs
Experience in operational excellence or continuous improvement methodologies as well as experience in Life Sciences are a plus
Experience with enterprise systems and procure-to-pay tools and eSourcing tools is desired
Experience with SAP or other ERP software is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Understands and frequently uses quantitative and/or qualitative data to drive decisions
Identifies risks to support statements or hypotheses
Works independently to develop and implement a negotiation plan/strategy (may need assistance in leading complex or challenging negotiations)
Good communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind
Tailors messages and communications appropriately with limited supervision to ensure understanding
Contributes to meetings and team presentations/briefings and asks appropriate questions to gather information
Basic level of proficiency in business enterprise tools and understanding of the end-to-end procurement process
