Position Summary
The QA Technician supports food safety and quality assurance operations by maintaining accurate documentation, monitoring production process data, and ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, and company policies. This role conducts product inspections, pre-operational checks, and sanitation verification, while ensuring equipment calibration and audit readiness. The technician collaborates closely with production and QA teams to address quality concerns, maintain testing records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Maintain documentation in orderly fashion for management review.

Enter production process variables into production management system.

Maintain various logs according to HACCP program.

Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning properly

Assist in SQF program enforcement and employee training

Follow and assist in enforcement of GMPs, Food Safety Guidelines, and other operational policies, ensuring the facility is always audit-ready

Inspect products to ensure adherence to product specifications

Collaborate with and report any urgent quality issues to Production Supervisors, Production Managers, QA Managers

Effectively communicate and collaborate with other teams to continuously improve daily operations

Conduct daily pre-operational inspections

Maintain testing records

Perform basic data entry

Oversee, verify and validate sanitation procedures using approved methods

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year in food safety/quality assurance field

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Able to work collaboratively with multiple teams

Organized and detail oriented

Working knowledge of SQF, GMP, HACCP guidelines

Basic computer skills
