Description
We are Lockheed Martin. This position is for a first line manager of the Integrated Fighter Group Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) team for Test & Evaluation located at Fort Worth, TX. The team is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and processing all aspects of flight test instrumentation for the F‑22 and F‑16 test aircraft.

Responsibilities

Lead FTI system & detail design engineers.

Provide onsite technical and management oversight and collaborate with T&E leadership on workforce planning.

Coordinate with Program Management Office and LOBe team to provide escalation for technical issues.

Develop performance and Earned Value metrics, program metrics, risk and opportunity matrices related to cost, schedule, and budget.

Enable autonomous day‑to‑day operation and coordinate with other Lockheed site locations.

Frequent communication with Lockheed leadership and Program Management Office.

Plan, coordinate, and execute affordable instrumentation and data solutions across all test disciplines.

Recruit, select, train, assess performance, and manage salary and recognition/disciplinary actions for subordinate employees.

Assign team duties, review team work product, and provide mentoring and on‑the‑job training.

Coordinate and interact with disciplines related to flight test such as maintenance, configuration management, supportability, engineering, flight operations, security, and quality.

Work extended hours and weekends as required; minimal travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience/education.

Significant experience and knowledge of flight test instrumentation and/or data collection and processing.

Experience in Flight Test Instrumentation Design, Installation, Troubleshooting, Operations, and/or Data Processing.

Understanding of EVMS, business proposals, and creating basis of estimates.

Team leadership experience.

Desired Skills

F‑16 and F‑22 flight test experience and line of business familiarity.

F‑22 and/or F‑16 aircraft system knowledge.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Program management background with earned‑value management policies and practices.

Comfortable working with senior leadership.

Ability to demonstrate the five imperatives of Full Spectrum Leadership: shape the future, build effective relationships, energize the team, deliver results, and model personal excellence.

Additional Information
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to program clearance and requires special access. This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level. The position is onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The work schedule is 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
