Job Description:
The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is currently seeking an experienced Senior Associate, Program Manager. This role can be located at our Huntsville, AL (headquarters) or Orange, VA facility. Under supervision, the Senior Associate, Program Manager will assist in leading all phases of programs: planning, execution, strategy, and management. The role drives program action to achieve business and financial objectives for orders, revenue, profit, and cash flow for an existing program. Responsibilities include cost, schedule, and technical performance for designated project areas, acting as customer contact for program activities, leading review sessions with customers for assigned aspects of proposal development, negotiations, and execution. The Senior Associate, Program Manager will coordinate production, supply chain, and support teams to ensure on‑time and on‑budget deliveries. This position will specifically work as a deputy PM between the D5 LE2 and D5 modernization programs.
Essential Functions
Management and contract performance of a program or elements of a program.
Responsible for complex programs.
Manages and directs assigned program, including defining scope, managing schedules, and budgets in accordance with policies.
Ensures contract performance responsibility is delegated to performing organizations and suppliers.
Develops and implements plans for follow‑on production programs including proposal development, submittal, negotiation, and attribution.
Provides guidance to the team to meet schedules and resolve technical or operational problems.
Integrates functional organizations for research and development, production, quality assurance, test, support, procurement, contractual and financial data.
Up to 25% business travel to other L3Harris and customer sites.
Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications
Applicants must be pursuing a Master’s degree or have completed their Master’s degree within the last 12 months.
Preferred Additional Skills
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
Demonstrated managerial level of leadership.
Knowledge of financial management and business development practices.
Experience with DoD contract execution.
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
