Responsible for planning, scheduling, managing and monitoring facility maintenance staff, requirements and work within the Maintenance Department to include but not be limited to installing, inspecting, testing, repairing, adjusting, and calibrating all facility equipment and instrumentation. Plan and conduct major outages; implement and direct effective PM program, lubrication plans. Manage maintenance staff.**Essential Functions:*** Manages and directs mechanical and E&I maintenance function of facility, in accordance with appropriate company safety and maintenance standards and procedures. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.* Supervises all mechanical and E&I maintenance department activities including, but not limited to preventative, predictive, corrective, emergency, contracted and warranty service.* Prepares, authorizes and schedules completion of work orders for equipment repair and maintenance.* Selects, supervises, trains, develops and evaluates performance of maintenance staff.* Administers predictive analysis program for all mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.* Schedules and monitors performance of all outside contractors to ensure effective, safe facility maintenance and operation.* Oversees maintenance of all facility mobile equipment.* Develops and maintains record of facility maintenance, including work orders, P.M., lubrication planning, planned and unplanned outages and inspections. Prepares work orders indicating malfunctions of instruments and authorizes work order requests. Requisitions new parts and instruments. Plans and supervises repair and maintenance during major outages.* Shall be responsible for ensuring that the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is current at all times, in accordance with company policy.* Recommends and maintains appropriate spare parts inventory in accordance with company policy.* Oversees management of Maintenance Shop. Inspects and tests shop equipment, including new and repaired instruments, to verify dimensions of parts for conformance to quality control standards. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.* Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.* Interviews and hires employees for the maintenance department.* Studies production schedules and estimates work hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Maintains time and production records.* Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and to increase efficiency of shop department or work crew.* Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.* Develops annual Repair and Maintenance budget for the business plan in conjunction with Operations Manager and Facility Manager.* Accurately tracks and monitors department spending to ensure that business plan goals are met while effectively maintaining facility to provide for consistent operations.* Responsible for maintaining acceptable department morale.* Fosters and promotes a culture of teamwork between maintenance staff and all other facility departments.* Completes the Corporate and Facility Training Programs within the time frame prescribed.* Ensures that the facility and all personnel operate safely at all times and promotes an environment whereby safety is a priority. Follows standard safety procedures, corrects safety and environmental hazards. Reads, understands, and implements lockout/tagout, safety rules, job hazard analyses, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; as well as communicates clearly whether using in-situ intercom system, two-way radio or face to face.* Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action. Troubleshoots equipment and assists in diagnosing problem areas.* Thoroughly and promptly investigates any accidents or near misses in conjunction with management team to ensure that any unsafe practices or conditions are addressed and eliminated immediately.**Education/Experience:**

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

• Bachelor's or Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent desirable.

• Six years’ experience in a power plant environment, with five years in a supervisory role.

• Knowledge and understanding of the operation, maintenance and control of a steam generating power plant.

Supervision Provided:

• Supervises staff of 10-25 employees depending on facility size.**Computer Skills:**
