Job Summary
Senior Safety Professional supporting Construction Safety Management for Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) projects.

What You Will Do

Partner with contractors to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards and practices including trenching, scaffolding, fall protection, electrical, cranes, heavy equipment, etc.

Investigate and propose innovative and practical safety solutions while ensuring risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.

Articulate applicable standards, regulations, data, emerging technologies, best practices, and risk reduction techniques to project leadership and contractors.

Provide construction safety risk and safety input during all phases of projects.

Effectively communicate identified trends, significant near misses and incidents with project and safety leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of construction safety, industrial safety, health experience, safety engineering, or related.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory and industry standards and best practices, as well as internal company standards and business practices.

Self‑driven and resourceful professional able to solve problems outside areas of expertise.

Experience in the safety of multi‑trade construction activities and construction safety industry/regulatory standards.

Demonstrated flexibility and ability to operate within an ambiguous and changing environment.

Proven strong planning, organization and prioritization skills.

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Demonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations.

Strong consultative and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.

OSHA 500 trainer.

Education

Bachelor degree

Preferred Education:

Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Construction Safety, Engineering, Architecture or related.

Advanced degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Construction Safety, Engineering, Architecture or related.

Compensation
The hiring range for this position in California is $105,100.00–$140,900.00 per year. The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on a candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
