Day Shift Custodian
Position type: Maintenance/Custodial
Tenure: 12 months, 8 hours per week
Status: Non‑Exempt, Opening date: 4/20/2026, Closing date: 4/27/2026, Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Starting pay: $17.00 per hour (and up based on verifiable experience)
Essential Job Functions
Perform a variety of custodial functions to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe work environment:
Maintain floors, vacuuming, wet mopping, cleaning, and stocking bathrooms
Extract various floor surfaces
Empty and dispose of trash, dusting, mopping
Move furniture/miscellaneous equipment as needed
Qualifications
Proven stable employment history, excellent attendance record, and motivation to consistently perform quality work
Willingness to follow written, verbal, and demonstrated instructions
Excellent interpersonal skills to work harmoniously with teachers and staff
Demonstrated customer service orientation
Mobility to move in and around the school; able to lift up to 50 pounds; able to climb ladders up to 8 feet
Able to understand and communicate in English for basic job‑related duties and safety responses
