Assignment: K-6 Complexity Team Teacher (Part‑time, 0.5 FTE)

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the principal this role will:
Collaboratively address academic, behavioral, English as an Additional Language, and social–emotional challenges within increasingly complex learning environments.
Support the classroom teacher in delivering targeted instruction that is inclusive.
Provide individualized supports to reduce learning gaps and build student skills in self‑regulation.
Provide oversight and direction to educational assistants to collaboratively address classroom complexities.
Experience & Qualifications
Alberta Teaching Certificate.
Previous experience administering divisions 1 and 2 school curriculum.
Successful criminal reference check, including vulnerable sectors (within 3 months of contract start date).
Skills and Competencies
Confidence, skill, knowledge, and understanding of differentiated instruction, student engagement, and assessment practices.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to relate well with students, staff, and parents.
An ethic of service to students, colleagues, and community.
Strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to create positive relationships and establish rapport.
