Elementary Classroom Teacher
School Year 2026-2027
Auburn Elementary School
Do you have a passion for teaching? Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for an elementary classroom teaching position that is available at Auburn Elementary School for the 2026 – 2027 school year.
Responsibilities
To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
Qualifications
Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with the appropriate endorsement to teach at the elementary school level
Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Hold a Master’s degree in Education

Salary:
$52,832.35 - $85,613.64 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience (current salary scale may change due to 2026-2027 budget considerations)
