Position Title – Ready Mix Driver
Location: (Tulsa, OK)
Description
The Ready Mix Driver is responsible for safely operating a ready-mix concrete truck on public roadways and construction sites. This role includes maintaining proper drum rotation to prevent concrete setting or segregation, positioning the truck for safe and efficient concrete discharge, and achieving and monitoring slump consistency and overall load quality throughout delivery.
Responsibilities
Climbs on and off truck body during loading, unloading, and tie-down procedures
Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations (including I.C.C. Regulations)
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water
Completes pre-trip and post-trip truck inspection reports
Service and lubricate engine and other moving parts if needed
Maintains accurate records on truck lubrication, service, and repairs
Follow truck maintenance schedule
Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all times.
Follow directions and instructions from supervisors.
Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may change often as the work conditions require.
Work within defined standards of accuracy.
Work in a variety of weather conditions, including temperatures over 85 degrees and below 40 degrees.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Sit, stand, and walk for a long period.
Must meet all Federal DOT Requirements
Valid CDL with Class B or A
Air Brake Endorsement
Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission trucks
Ability to use arms and hand to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction.)
Ability to travel in Oklahoma and work overtime, as requested.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of concrete slump and placement practices
