Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is a private radiology practice, composed of over 130 physicians. The group's mission is to improve the health of the patients in the communities we serve by providing them with the highest quality, specialty-based diagnostic imaging, image-guided therapy and associated medical care. A full range of outpatient diagnostic and interventional services is offered though Invision Sally Jobe. The breast care service lines are staffed solely by the breast radiologists.
Summary of Position
Assists radiologists and biopsy personnel with biopsy procedures as well as being responsible for procedural supplies and paperwork. Assists technologists with patient care duties as necessary.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with sterile procedure trays preparation and sterile equipment (under guidance of an RN, draws up medications used to treat breast biopsy patients, this does not include any class scheduled controlled substances).
Assists with patient post-procedure as needed. Holding immediate pressure on biopsy area, placing compression bandage, maintaining homeostasis on patients who have post-operative bleeding
Complete the post care instructions with the patients before they leave the center.
Turnover of biopsy rooms between breast procedures
Orders, sorts, and stocks supplies and all necessary equipment for all biopsy rooms - following all the HCA requirements with procedure supply par-level
Perform quarterly inventory for Breast Procedure Suite supplies
Wash and sanitize biopsy instruments following procedures.
Required to respond to medical emergency including administering CPR
Assists patients with positioning on exam table
Assists patients to prevent falls
Assist with scheduling, obtaining orders, and interacting professionally with other office personnel.
Dispose of hazardous waste and sharps as needed
Enter all patients name and information into the CSC log book for patient follow-up records.
Fill in for biopsy and diagnostic schedulers, front desk staff, as well as phone support staff when needed.
Make pre-op calls to patients 2 days prior to exams.
Organize paperwork for radiologist review for all patients for next business day
Preoperative planning for patients to ensure appropriate prep is completed before patient's biopsy
Schedule review for patient changes
Pre-procedure case management review on a daily basis for Radiologist support
Completes other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skill Requirements
Prefer minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical environment
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to read, write, and speak in English
Knowledge of sterile technique
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to act in courteous and professional manner at all times
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Ability to adapt to various situations, work independently and a quick learner
Good organizational skills
Flexible, dependable, and reliable
Ability to take initiative to complete all tasks under minimal supervision
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Compensation
Compensation for this role is between $23 to $28 per hour
In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associates reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis, and this position will remain open until filled.
