The Band Director must plan, organize, and direct all facets of the high school instrumental music program, including concert band, pep band, and marching band—a required component of this position. Attend all varsity football games (home and away). Organize pregame and halftime performances, coordinate pep band music, supervise students during travel and events, and ensure the band’s presence contributes positively to school spirit.

Lead band participation in all parades, public ceremonies, school celebrations, holiday events, and other community functions, serving as an ambassador for the school district.

Serve as a career courses teacher in the middle school, instructing students in career pathways, workforce readiness, leadership development, technology applications, and real-world skills.

Create engaging lessons that align with district curriculum standards and support student growth in communication, collaboration, responsibility, and career awareness.

Exhibit strong organizational skills, manage extended duty assignments beyond the regular school day, and commit to working evenings, weekends, summer rehearsals, and public events as needed.

The position requires exceptional leadership, communication, classroom management, and a passion for building a culture of excellence in both classroom and music programs.
