Title: Senior Technical Instructor/Facilitator
Where You Will Work

Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial-scale concentrate leach processing facility, as well as one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.

What You Will Do
This role develops employees’ skills in safety compliance and advanced operations through technical training that combines pre-developed materials with practical expertise. Training is primarily hands‑on in simulated or field settings, supported by limited classroom instruction, ensuring engagement and adherence to regulatory and internal standards. It also assesses and affirms on‑the‑job performance using standardized tools and contributes to a collaborative team focused on workforce capability and safe, effective job performance. Deliver simulation‑based and hands‑on training to build complex competencies, assess performance using standardized tools, and align learning with business goals. Provide technical support to resolve equipment and systems issues and ensure training meets expectations. Facilitate compliance and technical training in classroom settings and document results in the LMS. Mentor instructors and contribute to the development of competency‑based materials. Participate in train‑the‑trainer programs and continuous improvement efforts.

What You Bring To Freeport

High School Diploma or GED

AND

Ten years of directly related work experience and technical competence equivalent to an experienced operator or journeyman

OR

Bachelor’s degree and five years of directly related work experience

Proven computer literacy including MS Office and Windows

Demonstrated behaviors aligned with technical training values and company policies

Skill in analytical thinking

Desire and willingness to learn and grow

Passion for developing others

Experience mentoring, coaching, training, and assessing in field environments

Effective communication skills in English

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written safety‑related instructions in English

Master tradesperson certification or license preferred

Experience in adult education or corporate training preferred

Experience in mining, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred

Familiarity with MSHA or OSHA safety standards preferred

Prior exposure to a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred

Familiarity with competency‑based training models preferred

MSHA Blue Card Certified preferred

Preferred Qualifications

10 years of Plant Maintenance and Operations experience.

International travel is a must for this position.

What We Offer You
The estimated pay range for this role is currently

$42.00 - $58.00/hour.

This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job‑related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.

What We Require

Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.

Employees may be required to work a non‑standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365‑day operation.
