Job Summary
The Master Mechanic is a highly skilled technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex mechanical systems. This role serves as a technical expert, mentor to junior mechanics, and ensures all repairs meet safety, quality, and manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic tools

Perform major repairs and overhauls on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and drivetrains

Inspect vehicles or equipment to identify defects and determine repair needs

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards

Mentor, train, and support junior and apprentice mechanics

Review and verify repair work for accuracy and quality

Maintain detailed service records and repair documentation

Communicate repair findings and recommendations to supervisors or customers

Stay current with new technologies, tools, and manufacturer updates

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)

8–10+ years of hands‑on mechanical experience

Master‑level certifications (e.g., ASE Master Technician or equivalent)

Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and computerized systems

Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

Valid driver’s license (CDL if applicable)

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift heavy parts (up to 50–75 lbs)
