Work Days/Times:
M, T, W, Th, Fi – 8am‑4:30pm (May 26‑30); 7am‑5pm (June 2 – June 26); 7am‑5pm (July 6 – July 30)
Primary Purpose
Perform on‑site cleaning and prepping of computers for student use, including updates, damage inspection, and possible maintenance of computer equipment, network and software throughout the district or assigned campus.
Qualifications
Education / Certification
Current employee of Waller ISD during 25‑26 and 26‑27 school year
High school diploma or GED
Clear and valid driver’s license
Special Knowledge / Skills
Knowledge of computer workstation setup
Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
Ability to maintain computers and peripherals
Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs
Experience
1 year of work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing computers and peripherals preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Technical Support
Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computers, peripherals, network cabling, and network peripherals districtwide.
Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.
Install and configure application and operating system software and updates.
Assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Promethean Boards.
Assist with organization and distribution of technology‑based material for classroom use.
Equipment Repair and Maintenance
Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines.
Service equipment according to preventive maintenance schedule and maintain accurate records.
Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service.
Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and other equipment and material at assigned sites.
Identify, request, and control inventory of repair parts.
Inventory
Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and other equipment at assigned sites.
Identify, request, and control the inventory of repair parts.
Other
Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Other job duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Monitor a team of student workers.
Tools / Equipment Used
Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals.
Posture
Prolonged sitting, prolonged walking.

Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse.

Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 45 pounds).

Work primarily performed in an office environment with district‑wide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.

Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
