Job Description
The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for leading professional, high-performance fitness classes for Air Force employees and active-duty participants. The ideal candidate is a versatile athlete‑educator with a strong background in Indoor Cycling, Strength and Conditioning, and Mind‑Body practices.
You will be responsible for creating an environment that is both physically challenging and mentally motivating. Whether leading a high‑intensity cycling session or a restorative yoga flow, you must demonstrate a high level of energy and the ability to inspire military personnel to achieve peak readiness and wellness goals.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction: Lead Group Fitness, Cycling, and Mind‑Body classes specifically designed for the unique needs of active‑duty members and civilian staff.
Class Design: Create and execute engaging lesson plans that are both challenging and scalable.
Inclusivity: Provide real‑time modifications and technical adjustments to accommodate all fitness levels within the same session.
Safety: Ensure the safety of all participants through proper form correction and equipment oversight.
Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of Yoga and Fitness standards and follow all facility guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Proven track record as a Group Fitness Instructor capable of teaching multiple formats.
Specialized Expertise: Must be an experienced/certified Cycling Instructor.
Certifications: Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification (ACE, NASM, AFAA, etc.).
Specialty Certifications in Yoga, Cycle, or Zumba are highly preferred.
Current American Red Cross or AHA CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Personality: Energetic, enthusiastic, and capable of motivating a disciplined military audience.
