R-100832**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)*** Assist with coordination and installation of overhead sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipes, and hose systems.* Attend and participate in weekly job site safety meetings.* Learn and assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, to help install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.* Occasionally communicate with various contractors and trades to ensure projects stay on time and on budget.**WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU*** High school diploma or equivalent.* Desire to enroll in Sprinkler Fitter apprentice program and grow within the Fire and Life Safety industry.* Self-starter; able to work independently but also demonstrate the ability to be a team player with a can-do attitude.* Ability to use basic hand tools.* Willing to learn how to read and comprehend blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.* Willing to learn how to thread and groove pipe.* Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.* Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 Certification.* Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills* Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.* Ability to travel occasionally overnight, as needed.* Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
