Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
ESL Certification required for all Core Subjects EC-6 and ELAR 7-12
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of subjects assigned
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
Mental Demands / Physical Demands / Environmental Factors
Tools/Equipment Used: personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; P.E. teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED). Posture: prolonged sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Motion: frequent walking, repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Lifting: regular light lifting and carrying 15-45 pounds daily.
