Position Overview
Climbing Arborist
Job Duties
What You’ll Do:
Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
Operate with ground crew and foreman.
Perform tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
Prune, thin and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
Remove hazardous trees.
Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
Qualifications
What We’re Seeking:
Background in forestry, horticulture, landscaping, or working at heights.
Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
Love of the outdoors.
Ability to complete the first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates if required by state law.
