The Sports Division of the Provo City Parks and Recreation Department is looking to fill attendant positions for the 2026 season. Attendants will be assigned to the Epic Sports park or other Provo City sport and ballfields as needed.This seasonal opportunity includes a variety of roles supporting daily park operations, field upkeep, and large-scale tournaments. Whether you enjoy working behind the scenes or interacting with the public, there’s a place for you on our team.**Job Details**$15.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending upon skill level and experience). Payment will be direct deposit.Seasonal Provo City employees are eligible to contribute to individual retirement savings plans through the City (401k, 457, Roth IRA, and/or Traditional IRA) and receive these great benefits: a) free admission to the Peaks Ice Arena Public Skating; b) a free Provo City Library Card; and c) discounts from various local and national vendors.* Provide excellent customer service to guests, teams, and coaches.* Assist with parking operations and help maintain safe traffic flow.* Direct teams and spectators to fields and event areas* Help keep our parks clean, welcoming, and ready for the community by maintaining restrooms and public spaces.* Take pride in outdoor maintenance tasks such as edging, trimming, leaf blowing, and pavilion cleanup.* Support exciting tournaments and field rentals by assisting with event setup and on-site needs.* Work alongside a supportive crew and lend a hand wherever it’s needed to keep operations running smoothly.* Take on additional responsibilities or shifts as needed.* Sufficient knowledge, training, and/or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the job.* Valid, lawful driver license.* Previous experience in parks, sports, events, or customer service is preferred.Schedule is 40 hours a week. Hours vary Monday through Sunday and will be determined by events and operational needs. Most hours are Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to work some weekends with tournaments, special events, evening shifts, or preventative maintenance, as directed. Duration of position is approximately May 1 through November 1, 2026.Key Tournament Dates* May 15 – 17, 2026* June 12–14, 2026* June 19–21, 2026* July 12–18, 2026* August 13–15, 2026* September 25–28, 2026* October 1–4, 2026**What are the physical/environmental**This work requires strenuous physical labor; walking; bending; reaching; lifting (up to 50 lbs.); and exposure to adverse weather conditions and some chemicals. Applicants must have sufficient physical strength and agility to perform the work.
This position is open until filled and will be closed when sufficient, qualified applications to proceed with a competitive selection process have been received (at least seven days). Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
