Overnight Dishwasher/Porter

Specific Duties

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand

All dishes, glassware, plastic containers, pots and pans must be put away clean, dry and grease free in a neat and organized manner

Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks

Clean garbage cans with water and proper MSDS cleaning supplies

Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition

Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas

Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas

Sweep, scrub and mop floors

Ensure no standing water on the floor anywhere in the kitchen, as per health code

Maintain all paper towels and soap refilled at every handwashing sink throughout the kitchen

Weekly deep cleaning of both ice machines and daily spot cleaning

Requirements

Must have 2+ years experience as dishwasher/porter at a comparable restaurant or hotel

Must have a basic understanding of the English language

Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Must be able to stay on your feet for 8 hours plus

Knowledge

Must have basic knowledge of sanitation procedures

Compensation: $17-$18 / hour.
