The Cambria Hotel in Detroit will feature upscale amenities that appeal to modern travelers, including immersive, spa-style bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors - Contemporary and sophisticated guest rooms, complete with modern fixtures, abundant lighting, and plush bedding – Multiple food and beverage options - Flexible meeting and event space- State-of-the-art fitness center - Locally inspired designs.
Job Summary:
Housekeeping House staff assist room attendants by cleaning the hallways, restocking cleaning supplies, and responding to guest requests.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Respond to guest requests in a timely manner.
Checks the inventory of housekeeping carts and adds any necessary supplies.
Checks the inventory of housekeeping closets and adds any necessary supplies.
Replace used amenities in guest rooms.
Provide clean linens and dispose of the dirty ones.
Adjust furniture, desk items, and appliances when necessary.
Dust furnishings and walls and remove marks from them.
Carry out floor care duties in hallways.
Immediately report any safety hazards, injuries, maintenance problems or accidents.
Notifies maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
Takes found items to designated lost and found area if guest has checked out.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
Education and Experience:
Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
