We are seeking a
Resident Care Assistant
to join our community committed to delivering outstanding care to our residents in their home. As a
Resident Care Assistant , you will play a crucial role in providing routine personal care services and assisting with activities of daily living, meeting or exceeding Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards.
What you'll do:
Provide personal assistance in the home setting to assist with activities of daily living.
Assist with oral/dental care, bathing, grooming, toileting, and/or showering while ensuring privacy and safety.
Assist with simple range of motion or other exercises as directed; ambulate client as directed according to endurance levels.
Assist in meal preparation and encourage residents to maintain independence; observe appetite and offer dietary suggestions.
Respect clients’ rights by knocking before entering rooms, addressing by name and appropriate titles; treat all clients fairly with kindness, dignity and respect.
Encourage clients to make their own decisions to promote independence.
Respect facility, employee, client, and guest property.
Report client grievances and complaints immediately.
Comply with universal precautions policy at all times.
Perform routine housekeeping duties for clients.
Assist clients to and from scheduled activities of choice; encourage participation in activities.
What you'll bring:
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum one year of related experience.
Ability and license to drive assigned or personal vehicle; proof of liability insurance; eligible for BMM/Buckner insurance; must be 21 or older.
