Description
This position will assist the CFAR Director, the CFAR Associate Director, and CFAR Program Director with the administration of multiple federal and privately funded program projects in HIV/AIDS research. Responsible for administratively managing a University department under the general direction of a functional Program Director or under the auspices of a Program Advising Committee and according to an established program plan. May participate in the development of program objectives and is responsible for achieving objectives within defined parameters set by University and/or department policies and procedures or technical principles. May require fiscal management of grants and other funds. Requires the use of independent judgment to determine the best approach to accomplish objectives established in the program plan. May supervise staff as needed.
Additional Duties
Lead administrative coordinator for multiple CFAR initiatives/programs. Independently coordinate program focused events including hosting external visiting professionals.
Working with early career investigators in training and development initiatives.
Manage center's website, newsletter, and social media accounts including creation of content and engagement.
Collecting outcomes data and preparing reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Basic Science, Clinical Science, or Public health related).
Advanced writing skills.
Highly organized with an attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently and follow instructions under general supervision.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills necessary, Understanding of scientific language, techniques and clinical terms is helpful.
Salary Range: $43,890-$71,320
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
