Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Missouri Valley, IA. The position offers weekly pay ranging from $1700 to $2000, with opportunities for increased earnings through mileage, touch‑stop incentives, and a sign‑on bonus.

Pay

$1700 – $2000 or more per week

Solo miles pay: $0.63 per mile (1700‑2200 miles per week)

No‑touch stops: $28.00 per stop (average 5 stops per week)

Touch stops: $67.00 per stop (average 5 stops per week)

Per diem: $65.00 per night (3‑4 nights per week)

Sign‑on bonus: $2000 ($1,000 at 30 days, $1,000 at 90 days)

Route & Vehicle

Deliver SOLO to a 700‑mile radius of Omaha, NE

Route: Regional

Tractor type: Sleepers

Trailer type: 53’ Stepdeck Flatbed; 6 months experience required

Freight: Touch – strapping & assembly of utility trailers

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age

Pass a Ryder drug test

Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check; includes drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Pass a DOT physical

Pass a Ryder road test

Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position

Must have Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:

9 months experience within the past 3 years, or

2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or

5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards and guidelines

Detect, eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs

Load/unload freight or assist loading/unloading of freight when required by customer

Perform other duties as assigned
