Job Description
Hiring: Park Attendant / Campground Host – Abiquiu, NM
We are seeking individuals to work on-site as Park Attendants at Riana Campground, Abiquiu Lake. This is a live-in position where attendants support daily campground operations and assist visitors during scheduled work periods.
The Role
As a Park Attendant, you will be responsible for performing assigned duties at the campground and supporting daily operations. You will interact with visitors, assist with campground activities, and perform tasks in accordance with established requirements.
This is a
live-in role
requiring on-site presence during scheduled work periods.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide information and assistance to campground visitors
Monitor visitor access and campground activity
Open and close campground gates
Register campers and issue permits
Collect and handle user fees as required
Conduct routine inspections of campground areas
Maintain logs of activities and report incidents
Monitor compliance with campground rules and quiet hours
Assist with visitor needs and report emergencies
Maintain assigned work areas in a clean and orderly condition
WORK SCHEDULE
Seasonal position: April – October
7 days on / 7 days off rotation
On-duty periods require 24-hour availability
Scheduled booth hours:
Sunday–Thursday: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Friday, Saturday, and prior to holidays: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to live on-site during assigned work periods
Must have access to a
self-contained RV (minimum 18 feet in length)
suitable for on-site living
Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation
Must be able to handle cash transactions and basic recordkeeping
Must be able to follow instructions and comply with established rules and procedures
Must be able to complete required training prior to starting
Must be eligible for employment verification (E-Verify compliant)
Must meet access requirements for a federal facility
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
Must remain available on-site during assigned duty periods
Must follow all campground rules and safety requirements
Firearms are not permitted on-site
