Description
The Registrar is responsible for the business aspect of the patient's visit to the ambulatory practice. Activities include: registration, insurance verification and notification, updating of financial and demographic information, reception and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Enter or update patient demographics and financial information in computer system.

Generate patient’s chart and log patient data.

Verify Medicaid and other insurance information.

Hand out important patient information and documents.

Answer telephone and pages appropriate people.

Process specimens and accept alert values from lab.

Assist with cashiering duties by accepting clinic payments.

Deliver and expedites patient charts.

Dispatch specimens or documents by pneumatic tube.

Stamp all ancillary slips.

File charts and retrieve old records.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $22 - $22 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
