Job Title

Senior Supply Chain Specialist
Responsibilities

Independently leads sourcing activities for different categories including 1st party hardware, 3rd party instrumentation, and service agreements ensuring accurate project costing, value for money, risk mitigation, and on-time delivery.
Owns performance and risk management for critical suppliers, driving corrective actions, preparing QBR data, and proactively improving quality, cost, and service.
Supports supplier contract discussions, interpreting legal feedback and guiding negotiations with sound commercial judgement.
Owns end-to-end procurement execution.
Uses pricing tools, purchasing forecasts, and data analysis to drive informed commercial decisions, improving accuracy and margin visibility.
Applies procurement compliance requirements with sound judgement, ensuring alignment with ISO9001 standards and internal controls.
Leads procurement workstreams within cross‑functional projects, managing stakeholders through influence, clarity, collaboration and delivery reliability, including Customer Experience, Pre‑Sales, Engineering, and Finance.
Oversees and optimises inventory control processes, aligning stock levels, managing minimum stock levels with operational demand while reducing waste and excess holding costs.
Owns cost tracking and variance analysis within area of responsibility, identifying savings opportunities and driving margin improvement initiatives.
Oversees ERP accuracy, ensuring accurate supply chain reporting for leadership, including month‑end requirements.
Supports training and development for supply chain team members.
Travel up to 10%.
Hybrid role - 3 days onsite in Newton, MA.
Essential Skills & Experience

5 to 8 years in procurement or as a lab manager.
Hands‑on and willing to problem‑solve.
Supplier management experience.
Budgeting experience.
Experience procuring different categories.
Effective verbal and written communication for collaboration with teams and suppliers.
Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all areas of work.
Data analysis skills: ability to analyze inventory data and generate actionable insights.
Nice to Have

Experience within Biotech and Pharma.
Working within a start‑up or scale‑up business.
CIPS qualification.
Manufacturing experience.
Experience working to ISO9001 standards.
