Jim Coleman Automotive is a 3rd generation family‑owned dealership. The Coleman family has been selling and servicing cars in the Washington Metropolitan and Bethesda areas since the 1950s. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated service writer to provide advice and assistance to customers throughout the service experience. The Service Advisor will create a nurturing environment for our team and deliver a fantastic experience for the client.
Responsibilities
Provide timely updates
Assist customers with needs/requests
Greet customers at the service lane
Consult with technicians regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
Use your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in‑depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
Answer questions about service outcomes, scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop‑off, and vehicle pick‑up.
Requirements
Proven experience as a service advisor to maximize profit
Tech savvy with working knowledge of computer systems and databases
Able to balance a customer‑oriented and a results‑driven approach
Patient and comfortable dealing with customers
Professionalism and outgoing personality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational and multi‑tasking abilities
Willing to learn and take direction
