Job Summary
This position assists and reviews UPS Small Package dispatch activity to ensure timely and proficient service. The incumbent assists with dispatch planning and is responsible for ensuring service, safety, and cost goals are met. The role coordinates with others to ensure dispatch plans are executed efficiently and ensures adequate staffing and equipment levels for transportation needs. The supervisor oversees load/tractor planning and assignments, monitors load movement, and tracks equipment condition. The role reviews, analyzes, and tracks various dispatch and service reports and schedules to create efficient dispatch plans, verify service levels, address performance issues, and incorporate modifications. The position also oversees yard operations and coordinates drivers with load volume, ensuring trailers are in the correct locations and are loaded or empty as planned.
Responsibilities
Reviews driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
Conducts hazardous materials audits.
Reviews safety reports.
Verifies appropriate driver uniforms and utilization of safe work methods.
Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
Qualifications
Must be willing to work flexible shift hours and on the weekends.
Experience supervising employees - Preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay Range and Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $26.25/hr to $42.65/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
