R-198**Job Description:**Purpose:This position is responsible for coordinating therapy services, supervising Therapy Techs, and assisting the Director of Therapy.Qualifications:* Successfully completes the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings* Must possess a valid Driver's License with all necessary endorsements and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.* Statewide travel within Florida is required.* Proficient with WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and basic computer skills* High School Diploma, Associate’s degree preferred* Demonstrate experience in a therapeutic setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.* Must possess a license in a related healthcare area (examples include Physical Therapy assistant, Massage therapist, Occupational Therapy assistant, Speech/language Pathology assistant)Essential Functions:* Oversee programming, data collection, scheduling, and overall quality of services as prescribed by Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Regularly report findings, concerns, and successes to the Director of Therapy.* Assist in managing the therapy department by identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and providing updates on staff performance, service delivery, and program outcomes.* Maintain accurate inventory of adaptive equipment, coordinate orders for needed items, and report any shortages or issues to the Director of Therapy to ensure individuals have access to appropriate equipment.* Conduct regular observations in homes and day programs to ensure proper mealtime procedures, appropriate use of therapy equipment, and adherence to therapy protocols.* Act as a liaison between Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, wheelchair repair specialists, and the medical team to ensure seamless service delivery. Provide the Director of Therapy with updates on any service coordination.* Train staff on physical, nutritional, and communication strategies as needed.* Ensure staff compliance with physical and nutritional management plans. Identify concerns, track progress, and communicate updates to the Director of Therapy.* Attend and contribute to interdisciplinary meetings and annual Individualized Plan (I-Plan) reviews.* Keep general therapy-related information updated, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.* Proficiency in the English language (both written and verbal) is required as this job entails direct care of adult and children receiving services. Employees are required to communicate, both orally and in writing, with staff and others regarding medical care, supports, and services. This requirement includes the ability to effectively communicate in English including medical terminology.* Performs other duties as assignedSR97A12This position will remain open until filled.
