We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Transportation Coordinator
to join our Supply Chain team in Calvert, North Mobile County, AL.
Objective
This role supports the daily execution of Logistics operations, ensuring accurate system transactions, timely shipments, and effective coordination with internal teams. It contributes to process improvement, maintains SOPs and reporting, and provides reliable support for urgent or non‑standard logistics needs. The position helps ensure efficient, compliant, and continuous logistics performance across the organization.
Each person is on call one week a month, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant career experience or 4 years relevant career experience
Understanding of Logistics Management principles (transportation, warehousing, inventory control)
Experience with shipping/receiving
Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations
Proficient ability in working within SAP, Excel & PowerPoint
Must have track record and ability to maintain positive team dynamics
Ability to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency
Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and strong organizational habits
Communication and coordination with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
Time management and ability to handle multiple shipments or deadlines
Adaptability in fast-paced environments
Key responsibilities
Assist in the daily execution and management of Logistics operations activity
Intercompany movements (in and out bound)
External Warehouse activities
Other ad hoc logistic duties
Develop and implement new/improved processes and procedures for effective and efficient Logistics practices
Support business departments on execution of urgent shipments
Ensure quick and precise system execution for the delivery of OTK products
Work proactively with Production, Sales and Planning departments to ensure continuous support
Assist internal team members on critical shipments and non‑standard requests
Follow processes in full compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory guidelines when applicable
Prepare and maintain SOP’s for all departmental activities
Develop and maintain reporting to measure associated area(s) of responsibility
Coordinate and execute special projects and additional services as requested
Ability to take calls when on call
Physical Requirements
Perform repetitive movements when using computer equipment, including keyboard and mouse.
Remain sitting for prolonged periods (6-8 hours) with the possibility of alternating with standing.
Ability to speak and listen clearly in quiet or noisy environments.
Frequent reaching and manipulating objects with hands and arms.
Walk frequently within the office and plant, go up and down stairs, stoop or bow as necessary.
Review documents in digital and physical format with a high level of visual precision.
Lift and move objects weighing up to 20 kg occasionally.
Maintain flexibility and ability to shift between different tasks and locations within the plant and office.
Salary
USD 59,100-73,900 plus monthly bonus.
