Essential Responsibilities
Complete cosmetic inspections of vehicles, noting what’s needed to transform them into cars we can be proud of and our customers will love
Repair and replace small plastic and other parts to ensure everything about the vehicle is in good working order
Perform paint retouching, post-paint finishing, waxing and buffing to make cars look as good as new
Follow and promote CarMax’s high standards of safety, cleanliness and organization
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: washing, waxing, cleaning and buffing, masking, sanding, grinding and applying paint; removing and replacing small parts, carrying out minor repairs
Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time
Customer focus and attention to detail
Possession of valid driver’s license
Hourly rate:
$18.00 - $19.80 per hour
This position is eligible for commission.
Benefits
Paid sick, vacation, and holiday time. Full-time hourly or commissioned associates earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 and 200 hours of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service.
6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. If an associate works on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.
Full-time salaried associates are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc., subject to manager approval.
