Reports to Senior Center Recreation Supervisor

Located at Senior Center (8950 Eden Prairie Road, Eden Prairie, MN). Will be driving to and from various parks and locations in Eden Prairie.

Position runs May- August 2026, the majority of shifts will be evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
The Events Bus Driver position will drive city vans and buses to safely transport participants to/from City programs and events. The primary position responsibilities and areas of impact are:

Driving a shuttle bus with passengers of all ages on a continuous route and making frequent stops to summer events such as Jazz Fest, People Fest, Summer Concert and Theater Events.

Ensures passengers receive safe and timely transportation for special events and activities by following training and safety guidelines, protocols and procedures.

Provides excellent customer service to ensure riders receive a welcoming and positive experience.

Completes pre-inspection and post-inspection of the bus and equipment and maintain driving logs.

While these areas are the primary focus of this position, we believe strongly in teamwork and employees will be called upon to perform a variety of duties as a part of their role with the City.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) required.

Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record required.

Must be 18 years of age or older; at least 2 years driving experience required, experience driving a bus preferred.

Evening and weekend availability required.

This position requires the ability to lift/carry/push/pull at least 50-70 lbs. and operate a motor vehicle. Driving during the evening hours/ nighttime conditions required.

Candidates must successfully complete and pass the City’s evaluation of the pre-employment process prior to their first day of employment. Pre-employment processes for this position includes professional reference checks, background check, driver’s license check, work verification, pre-employment physical, and drug/alcohol test.
